Battlefield 2142 Level Help

Hi all
I've downloaded some new levels for BF2142 and put them in the default install location:

C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/mods/bf2142/Levels

but they dont show up in the game...I'm talking single player.
I just want a couple more levels for single player mode (dont play online very much)

can someone help? Why dont they show up in the game??

im getting bored with the default 5 levels

I'm also wondering if there is any way to play the multiplayer levels in single player mode
not the Titan mode i know that doesnt work, i just want the levels

Maps are usually packed up into a single file as a zip or rar file. Read the Winzip and Winrar section above on use of those tools. Some maps use an installer. Its easiest to extract the zip or rar file into a temporary location and then use explorer to move the map into the correct location. Installers can mess up as well as in the case where installers default location is different from the users, and the user did not change it when installing.

Maps go into the mod's \levels folder. These are the default locations

for BF2142 c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\[modname]\levels

Note: replace [modname] with the name of the mod

A sucessfull installed map should contain a folder with the map's name with the following files:

client.zip, server.zip and an \info folder with a [mapname].desc and one or more .png or .dds files.

Note: replace [mapname] with the name of the map. And watch out for double mapname folders. The fix is similar to double modname folder problem mentioned above.
