problem with dvd drive...?

ok im not sure what my problem is
i think it's that my dvd drive is not burning correctly or something but...
i cannot boot of my burned cds and dvds which i could in the past
i have a dvd i burned in the past i could boot off but now i cant even thought it is read in windows
i burned about two ubuntu isos and none of them are bootable or readable in my laptop

my specs are
inspiron 1420
tsst 632d slim 8x cd/dvd+- rw
2 gb ram
120 gb hdd
core 2 duo 1.5 ghz

call dell and if under warranty have them replace it
