I have the Targus Sport Backpack. I got the blue trim, as it matches the blue quick snap cover...
I ordered it when I had my 8600 but found the laptop compartment to fit better (less movement) for the 9100.http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=TSB315
I wanted a bit more padding at the bottom of the pocket where the edge of the laptop sits and gets put down on. I took some of that strong, plastic like foam that really durable. Not the typical styrofoam. I think its the stuff that the laptop came packed in. Not sure- I got it from work from another laptop.
It raised it up in the pocked by about 2 inches - so it protects it at the bottom "shock point" and helps lets the velcro strap be tightened a bit more. Works really well.
I really pack that sucker up too. This is what I have been able to cram in this bag:
Inspiron 9100, Power Brick and cord, Logitech Optical Mouse, Linksys 802.11b Wireless Router, Linkysys power supply, Belkin Nostromo Game Keypad, Remote Control, Headphones, Kensington USB Light, Belkin Mouse Pad with Gel wrist rest, and finally a few games on CD.
One time I even stuck my umbrella in the outsite netting pocket on one side and my digital camera temporarily in the outside net pocket. Let me tell you, that sucker was HEAVY, but I am only using it to transport from one place to another every once in a while, and not climbing any mountain.
It meets all my gear needs and I like it!.. I don't know of another one I would select over this if I had the choice. Most I found online were not big enough. I am no expert. This is my first laptop and first laptop bag, but thats my opinion.
