Disabling Synaptics Touchpad on m6805

I went to the Synaptics site and they said to disable the touchpad by going into bios and disabling it, but when I go into bios I dont see any option in there to disable it.

I have Logitech mx510 mouse and the touchpad is interfering with my mouse.I tried uninstalling the drivers for the touchpad, but upon reboot windows xp picks it up as a ps2 mouse.

I also tried disabling it in mouse properties. It does work but then I cant configure the buttons my logitech mouse.Anybody know how to disable it for good so it wont show up on mouse properties?

Ok I tried what you did in your previous post by uninstalling logitech drivers, reinstalling synaptics drivers, disabling synaptics in mouse properties, then plugging the mouse back in and reinstalling logitech drivers, but the same thing happens again. I can configure the buttons on the mouse but the synaptics turns into a ps2 mouse and its still active.

I'm trying to find a way to disable it for good. I'm gonna install some older synaptics drivers from a sony laptop that I used to own hopefully this will work.

Update-YES! Finally got them to work together.I went to www.driversguide.com and installed some really old synaptics drivers for xp.Their 2001 drivers, but I don't care as long as it worked and it did. I can now finally configure my logitech mouse buttons and disable synaptics at the same time.
