I love the laptop and backlight issue is bareable, but the *problem* with the GPU is buggin me a lot.

probably just me

Just for the heck of it decided to give another run. Installed clean copy of winxp PRo and all the updates. Also installed DirectX and factory drivers. Let it cool for a few mins. Then used atitool to test the max core, it froze up at 400 Mhz (the highest it's ever been), then something happend that I've never seen before. The color quality dropped to 4 bit with only 4 or 6 colors present Fun


btw rince when are you getting yours?

Did the colors go back after a reboot?

Also, have you tried the Omega drivers?

Yeah the colors went back to normal after reboot, Omega drivers had the same result.

y not try the radlink? ati tool sucks at oc..but dont see as if matters now, since it even fails at 400 ...probably it is a defct gpu...

just wondering what temperature were you using your laptop?

man this sucks i was trying to fix that right handside of space bar curving up a little and then i accidently broke one of its tiny little hindge...

hopefully, they can send me some space bar replacement..

you tell me , im using a laptop without a space bar right now....so i have to press that little rubber thing as we speak...just sent email still havent gotten any reply yet...and its quite odd because they usually respond in 12 hrs...i sent em last night around 12 am central time

bummer, hope you get it fixed soon. I can imagine doing this right now, well you can always use external keyboard.

shipped my laptop back today and already miss it I don't think I will be ordering the same one again, might get that new Acer one if the price will be a little more reasonable
