I am about to get one upgrading from my M1210. Can anyone tell me some pros and cons about this notebook? I am getting the one with an LED screen so will i really see a difference between the m1210's screen and the 1330's? Just tell me anything that may help me into this laptop sooner. Thanks.

I like it more than my prior M1210. The slimmer backlit LED screen is better and the graphics card is better. The only thing I do not like is that the footprint of the M1330 is larger than the M1210.

Vista Ultimate
Crimson red
Slim Backlit LED
T7500 2.2ghz
4gb 667mhz ram
64 SSD Hdd
128mb Nvidia 8400 GS
9 Cell Battery
Intel N 4965
BT 355
Slot 8x DVDRW

yeah thats just about the same config i was gonna be getting.... is the screen much better? like is it an obvious improvement? i know its a little bigger, but i am having so many issues with the stupid webcam/bluetooth drivers on my 1210 that wont allow it to boot and crap and i need to be able to use both... the 1330 doesnt have any of those kind of issues does it?

Don't know when it will be available in the states but in AUstralia you can now configure it with the Penryn chip.

well as far as im concerned the weakest point of the m1210 was the screen, so i want to make sure the m1330 is going to blow me away in comparison (with the LED screen)

and i also want to make sure there are no driver conflicts (like the logitech camera and the bluetooth drivers on the m1210) exist on the 1330.

Yes the screen sharpness and resolution is "a lot" better imo. The built-in camera is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the m1210 and the image can be compared finally to that of the apple macbook/macbook pros. I hated the one in the m1210 you always had to reset the damn thing plus the quality of the image was not so great.

I had a M1210 with a Toshiba LCD. I hated that screen, and it was the best of the 3 they put in those! My old 700M killed it in screen quality. I now have a M1330 with Toshiba LED . It blows the M1210 away. Brighter, cleaner, better contrast and good viewing angles. I've had it a week now and love it. No gaming yet, and I don't expect much more than the old 7400 Go graphics

Get one from the outlet.

I got mine there. You can save a ton. I got the LED screen. I am not sure which one. I like it. The only issue I see with that is a bit of light leakage on dark screens. Not a big deal.

good thats what i want to hear, so no issues as far as drivers conflicting with the logitech webcam like it did in the m1210?

I have not had any issues come up as far as BT and the webcam goes and hopefully it stays that way.

any issues at all?

Oh another thing I do not like about the M1330 is the fingerprint reader its worthless. Sometimes it works, at times it takes forever, or does not work at all. I disabled it because its just easier to input your password.

yeah i have yet to use one of those that actually work the first time.

I haven't had any problems come up with my 1330 yet (only 1 week old)... It seems to be a solid lil computer. I don't use the webcam really, but I know it works. Mine has the fingerprint reader and it's the first one I've used. It was easy to set up and I rarely have to re-scan my finger...I don't mind it.

well i got a 6 cell battery cause the 9 cell looked way too strange for me... the plug on the side i saw and that was kinda crappy.. and i'll be putting xp on it. anything else?

The 9 Cell isn't as bad in real life than how it looks in photos. Before I got my laptop, the 9 cell really bothered me. I wasn't even going to get it, but my co-worker, who got the 1210, said he never uses the 6 cell that came with it and bought the 9 cell later which he uses all the time. He insisted that i get the 9 cell. I explained to him that the 1210 battery lays flat while the 1330 9 cell props up. My biggest problem with it before getting the 9 cell was the fact that it tilted the laptop up. However, when it finally came, it turns out the battery was smaller than i thought, and in fact, the slant made typing even easier for me than without it. when you put the laptop into the case that comes with it, the size from back to front is barely noticeable. Also, i find my self uses the 9 cell as a handle(maybe tat isn't a good thing to do) which gives me a better grip when i'm carrying it around. With a laptop this small, you'll be doing alot of carrying.

All in all, I love the battery now, i get 4-5 hours without having to plug it in, and i can take it anywhere.
