having trouble starting my comp

I can't seem to start my computer correctly. I can not determine if it's a power issue, or if something isn't connected correctly. All my fans seem to be running fine. This is driving me absolutely nuts. I followed everything by the book on putting this puppy together. Here are my current specs.
450wat psu
ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

what seems to be the problem? does it not power on? does it power on but does not post?

please be specific as possible so we can help you.

Are you able to boot into BIOS?
