It looks great. I probably would have skipped the 2nd 2GB of RAM, but it won't hurt.

Best of luck, and let us know how you like it.

i would definitely get 3 years of warranty over the 4gbs of RAM...other than that very nice setup... also u didnt get the illuminated keyboard...

Good catch, littlefrankus ... I'm with you on that one.

RAM is dirt cheap; upgrade yourself. Call AW to change your order now, then buy extra RAM yourself, and call them when you install it so they can make a note in your warranty file.

Phew... kept the 4GB, but added a 3 year warranty... I'm not in the mood to play "Vista's being a pain" game, so I just got the 4GB in the event vista has a "you changed components, WAAAH!" moment.

I'm still debating though if I should change the t7800 to an x7900

i dont think the extra money warrants the cost of 0.2 ghz processing speed...

yea, i'll stick with the t7800 and 4GB, and the 3 year instead of an x7900... wish me luck!

nice rig
best of luck

Nice rig, but Vista will not give you a hard time about adding RAM later. I am with the other posters here, skip the extra 2GB and add it yourself for less. Also, Vista runs well with 2GB as is.

I have 3 gb RAM on my m9750, and I barely use any of it.
I'd switch your 4gb RAM to 3 year warranty instead.

update: I'm on phase 4 since 2/12/08.... I'm going to call them today to see what's happening in regards to my laptop, I'm not worried, I know it's new technology and if it takes a bit longer, so be it. My m1710 can last a bit longer as a gaming rig.
