Cry babies? WTF!!

You have one seriously sad life if you have to post ridiculous crap all over these forums just for attention. Grow the f*** up.

And until you can provide proof that you actually got the system that you claim to have, I wouldn't be so cocky.
With any luck the mod's will realise what an idiot you are and boot you off these boards.

And congrats c0ax... Enjoy your awesome system...

awww

there goes my Friday morning entertainment :-(

haha thanks.

So this computer is making me very very happy.

the gigabit ethernet is a HUGE improvement already for me!

and the lightfx is kind of cool with the winamp plugin (not the quickset one, that one sucks)

How can you tell if the laptop is a new one or refurbished? is it just by the sticker on the bottom of the laptop or can you tell by the packaging box?

Repherb.

I am still happy with it, now I need to find out how to make this laptop have the warranty, it says that my old computer has 290 days left and this one has 0 days left...
Your warranty should be transferred to the new machine.

At least it was with mine. I was a year and a half into complete care and they gave me 4 years again on my replacement system.

Although not sure if the same would apply to NBD

It will transfer shortly, my refurb XPS 420 didn't have warranty listed at first but they fixed it automatically shortly after

Well, Dell has gotten to my last nerve. I have explained to them the situation, providing NVIDIA documentation, as well as several others, as to why the 8700M is inferior to the 7950, and I keep being told that there's nothing they can do for me, or I'm being told I'm wrong. One guy told me that I have no idea what I'm talking about. Others say that there is no 8800M GTX, while another said that they can't put the 7950 in the M1730 (d'uh!?) and because of that, I get what I get.

So, I just e-mailed several of the people on that Consumerist link that was given earlier in this thread, explaining things in great detail, and requesting an entirely different system, with the same specifications as the one I am supposed to be getting, except for with the 8800M GTX.

This has NOT made me happy. Being told I'm a liar, I'm (essentially) an idiot, and then telling me that they don't want to do anything for me, because I am "getting what I am getting" (an exact quote from the last rep I talked to on Dell Chat).

Dell doesn't transfer warranty until they receive your old lappy. That is what I was told.

The people that you are talking to, are they the "XPS" support?

Are they from the US or India?

Keep escilating it further and further. I learned through my whole ordeal that the more you push you eventually will get someone that can help. The blanket email I sent to all the vp's is what got the ball rolling for me, and NEVER listen when they say there is nothing that anyone can do, no matter how high you go, there is ALWAYS someone higher.

You heard the saying, The Squeaky Wheel gets the oil. or something like it.

I know, I've done this before, I'm just tired of it. I don't have the time to sit here and waste with Dell.
