I received a call yesterday from an Alienware rep about my problems with my mALX regarding this thread:

They wanted to know if they could help me resolve the problem! Talk about incredible customer service, WOW!!

That's great, Alienware is wise to monitor forums and help those with real issues before they become overly negative and hurt Alienware's reputation.

That's great, the AW reps on here have always been great. Richard and Steve helped me out on my first purchase...didn't really expect that from a big company.

I agree with the awesome customer support. My Alienware was one week shy of turning three years old (meaning my extended warranty was almost up), I started having massive problems with the system. Anyhoo, I called Alienware, and they talked me through several things to determine the problem. They finally decided the problem was the motherboard (which was what I had thought). Anyhoo, they had me send the system back. They didn't try to give me any run-around considering that my warrantly was so close to expiring. They footed the bill for everything...shipping, repairs, etc. Anyhoo, a week-and-a-half after shipping the computer off, it was back with complete with a new motherboard and heat synch. That's the best turn-around time I've EVER had for computer repairs for ANY system...even for repairs done locally. So IMHO, Alienware gets an A+++ in customer support.

yeah thats pretty fast for shipping it to miami...and getting it back...

It didn't go to Miami. It shipped to Memphis if I'm not mistaken...and then possibly to Mississippi. But from what I know, at least, it never went to Miami.

I live only 3 hours from memphis so if i had to send mine that would be great...
