M1730 anyone in UK managed to get 8800 Sli to replace their 8700

Hi, just interested to know f anyone has managed to get an upgrade (free or otherwise) out of Dell to change their 8700 for 8800?

Dell gave me trouble so I returned my 8700 based one and just bought another one. tards.

Hi Twy, How long had you kept the 8700 machine? How did you organise the return? - I am hitting brick walls!

Are you from Europe McFly? Cause every Dell Rep I asked for an upgrade said, that the upgrade will probably only be available in the USA and not in Europe. Also Markus Schütz (Senior Press Reviews Manager Dell Europe, Middle East, Africa) stated in a German forum, that an upgrade in EMEA isn't planned.

Seems the only way to get the 8800M GTX Sli is to wait until they appear on ebay or to sell the M1730 and get a new one instead.

Due to some problems with the graphics cards Im getting my 8700GT sli replaced for a 8800GTX...

New machine expected to be delivered on the 29 feb... all through dell uk

I have a call into Dell UK so I 'm waiting for them to tell me if the 8800 will be available as a part for the M1730, if not I will send the lappy back I think and re-order.
