Sony Vaio FZ340E/B

Ok, I don't really know much about computers , so can somebody tell me if a Sony Vaio FZ340E/B is a good idea or is there something better in this price range? Will I be able to play some of my old favorite PC games on this thing? Is the GeForce 8400 good? Any help will be welcome

just bought it today. actually my brother and i bought it. It has 256mb dedicated video card so im sure games are no problem. And the core duo sounds great too. =)
