Recovery disc creator error

Thread Starter
Hi Everyone,

I have a customer with an issue I am having trouble with. When trying to create the recovery discs this error comes up:

The following issue occurred while recording data to the disc.
The current process will be stopped.

A power calibration area error occurred.
Please check if the disc is scratched or dirty.
If so, please try again with a new disc.

( Error Code: 0E01AC-26-00037304)

Several different discs have been tried in all formats and brands. The drive was replaced under warranty and the same error comes up. I have tried searching the error code and I can not find anything.

The machine is a Satellite Pro A200 PSAF4U-00D004 running XP Pro SP2. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

You didnt mention what program you were using to copy? Nero6 by any chance?
I found this suggestion by googling "a power calibration area error occurred"
1 on desktop click start
2 select control panel
3 click on administrative tools
4 click on services
5 browse your way down to IMAPI CD BURNING COM SERVICE
6 right click (on IMAPI) then select properties
7 in the middle of the window it will say start up type.click on the arrow to the right and select disabled.
8 make sure you click APPLY

Let us know if this helped

had the same issue tech support suggested I use DVD-R disk rather than the DVD+R's... Quick run to Staples Business Depot and 15 mins later it's running like a charm!!!!
