Same here... ordered through my work's EPP site and it shows it is in production currently. However a weird thing with the EPP order status is that unlike the dell home order status that displays different build phases, my order status only has three phases, pending, in production, and shipped. So the "inproduction" designation from EPP likely encompasses the normal dell build phases of pre-production, kitting, build, testing, boxing, and ship prep. So it is likely my "in production" 8800M SLI M1730 is in the pre-production phase just like you guys.
Before Dell announced the 8800m option for the M1730, I was investigating the SLI 8800M in the Clevo D901C and from what I gleaned after talking to several Sager resellers, Clevo is expecting to get the SLI 8800M kits at the end of February and I assume Clevo would have the same supplier (Nvidia) as Dell so Dell will be getting the nvidia 8800m's in the end of February as well.
When I ordered Feb 3rd, the SLI 8800M option showed a 9business day delay so my shipout date was Feb 25th but now if you go to the Dell M1730 configurator, the estimated delay time for the sli 8800M option is 15 business days. That and the fact sli 8800ms in dell spart parts are backordered as well seems to support the theory that the SLI 8800M still are not released yet (supposedly nvidia has been having major sli driver issues with the 8800m).
If the SLI kits end up being delayed significantly past the estimated ship date (hope this doesnt happen,* knock on wood), Hopfully Dell have be issuing out some Dell customer satisfaction credits and also allowing us to upgrade to the Penroe(sic) CPUs!
Looks like the single 8800M GTX quad-core Sager that got delivered last week and for which I have a rma issued is going to take advantage of Sager's 30day return policy even more now!
