I have an Area 51m 766/5500 that has a faulty temperature sensor. The fans go half assed and then it shuts down abruptly. I know there is a keyboard bioscontroller for the 7700 model that lets you control fan speed. I want to know if it will work on a 766. I am only interested in replys from people who have installed the keyboard bios on a 766 and had it not only not kill the damn machine but also do the fan speed control thing. I repeat: 766/5500 only! Personal experience only! I dont want to hear from someone with a 7700. I already know it works on that. I dont want to hear about Get Thermal, or warranties. And i don't need a link to the file. I just want to be sure it wont kill the machine. Which i cannot stress enough is a 766.
