Dark cluster of pixels- what is this?? Gen-2

Hey,

Ive had my gen-2 since over 2 years now, I think. Hmm, I got it for Oblivion and F.E.A.R., that must be over 2 years now, right? Yeah, and right after I got it, the 7800 came out, and i got it for 200$ ^^.

Now, it's been ridiculously trusty, just like my last Dell. I hope I didnt jinx it. The entire backlight died on my old Dell Inspiron 8200. Today, I realized a small cluster of dark pixels. They still work, its just the backlight, it seems, that's not keeping up with the rest of the screen. It's affecting one pixel, and half of all the surrounding pixels. I can ignore it, i'm just curious what it is. They're not dead, thats the thing. Maybe I plugged the screen in badly last time i cleaned my heatsinks...

Anyways, its identical to any other speck of dirt on the screen, which would explain why i only noticed it today, thanks gosh its not in the middle ^^. Heh, anyways, is this a common problem, or know problem? It seems the screens are dell's weakness

If the pixels are 'stuck' you can take a small cotton cloth and apply some p[ressure and try to polish it out. Ive done this method 3 times already and its fixed all my pixels.

thx, but they're not stuck. They do what they should, it's just the backlight thats missing.
