New mALX coming

Anyone else buy one of the mALX models that AW is offering in their refurbished sales area? I have one coming next week; can't wait to lay eyes on this thing.

AW must have had left over parts etc. after the regular sales period ended. I know the new m15x is more powerful but as AW has cut the price way down ($3299) from the original I took the plunge.

Portability isn't a big deal for me so the size and weight isn't a problem. In fact I will really appreciate the 19 inch screen for the CATIA CAD classes I teach and I really like the super paint job. Currently I am using my trusty area 51 m7700.

If I hadn't just bought my lappy I would have gotten the mALX - that machine makes a big statement wherever you take it and performance is still very very good.

Yeah you won't be dissapointed with it mate!

I bought mine just after they came out and still use it every day. Only problem I have ever had with it is a few days ago my Creative PCMCIA soundcard stopped working after letting out a high pitched sqeual from the speakers. I bought a new card thinking it was dead but now the new one is doing it....even with a fresh copy of XP on it

Nevermind eh, I'll get it sorted with AW hopefully. Out of interest what GPU's have you got coming in your new one?
