I've had my laptop for about a year and sometimes when I press power the screen works, and sometimes it doesnt.
It has done this since I got it (brand new). Its never really been a major problem because I just boot it up again until it works.. I'd say theres about a 50% chance of the screen working. THe lights will go on... I can hear it running.. but the screen stays off.
Once it does boot up properly (with the screen working), its fine, and the LCD works flawlessly until I turn it off.
Like I said, I never really paid too much attention to this problem because I'd just turn it off an on again, but now I may be passing my laptop on to a family member and would like to get this issue resolved if possible.
