Dell 3007 monitor and 7900 GS

I'm thinking about buying a Dell 3007 30" monitor that support up to 2560x1600.

I have a M1710 with a 7900GS. Will the card support 2560x1600 ?

Thanks !

No. Only 1200x800

My old 7900 supported 1440x900. Still though, nothing near your native resolution if you do get that badboy.

Umm my 7900GS supports at least 1920 x 1200 on my wfp2407, so ignore these people.

it may go higher.

Come on people, the native resolution on most of these laptop lcd's is already 1920 x 1200......

My native is 1440x900, so I would have no way of knowing if it went any higher. I supplied what info I had.

If you go into advanced display properties and on the adapter tab click the list all modes button at the bottom. That will show you what diff rez's the vid card can handle.

3007WFP only supports DUAL DVI, while 7900GS/GTX is single DVI.

Unless the GPU supports dual dvi, it's not going to display native resolution of 3007WFP.

I own one, I know.

E1705/M90/M1710's max res on 3007WFP is 1200x800, there's nothing more to it.

There you have it Yboivin.

I own a 3008WFP and a 2407WFP, and I can confirm that the 7900GS only supports the 2407WFP (1920x1200) and does NOT support the 2560x1600 of the 3008WFP.
