can i run winXP on acer travelmate 5520?

i bought an acer travelmate 5520, core 2 duo athlon64 with vista preinstalled... i formatted it with winXP SP2, and now i can't find the chipset drivers for this model. nothing works - no sound, networking capabilities - nothing. i've searched the net for days and i can't find out if i can even run XP on it, let alone find the drivers to do so.

anyone? help!

yes, all they have is vista drivers.

Then I would suggest that you go into the Control Panel, System, Device Manager, and make a list of EVERY (hardwear device) that is listed, and go to each listed Manufacture web site to find XP drivers, since Acer only offers Vista drivers, that would be the way to go about this, if I were you......GOOD LUCK!

well, u could try to mix match ur comp and use the xp drivers from comparable models

you can do xp on it..but, i would run winaudit first, print it out then try and find XP drives for your hardware and if you can, you will be fine..
