I bought a 4791 a long time ago, right after the warranty expired, the laptop died. sometimes would power up, but when it did, would take 15-20min just to get to bios. was quoted ~$480 (400 for part, 80 for labor, and the cost of shipping back and forth), i decided to buy a used laptop off a friend instead. i still have my old laptop and was thinking of building one (as the keyboard, monitor, shell etc should be ok)
my question is there anywhere to purchase a new motherboard, that would be similar to this case design? i realize there is no 'atx' type standards for the shells, or maybe the connectors on the back part wont light up or something, but do i have any options? when i originally contacted sager, they would not allow an option to try to upgrade the motherboard, and with only a 3month warranty on a refurb'ed mobo, i didnt really want it to risk it.
any help would be appreciated!
thanks.
