Do understand, that I'm sure these guys are going to be questioned when they approve 3 high end laptop replacements for lower end laptops. I don't think the generosity will be extended for long.

Read my thread, I had a MUCH better computer than you to start with, and just fought dell for the last two weeks to end up with a worse computer than what I started with.

I have made a BBB complaint, talked to dozens and dozens of people, complained to corporate, blanketed every President and vice president in the company with emails, and am working on a consumerist report, and still nothing.

I wish you the best in luck, they placed two orders for M1730's for me, and canceled both of them before they went through...

You replacement has to go through an approval. This is done through someone that is most likley in America. CoAx went through this twice actually, a lower level would send up a 1730 replacement and it would get turned down by the higher-ups. I would be shocked if it ships, and hopefull that I will end up with similar unit as my 1710 has recently died.

Good Luck to you, I hope they don't put you through what coax went through.

When did you request a replacement? I requested my laptop to be replaced per complete care on Feb 2 and I STILL don't see any information on it in my account. I've spoken to Dell a few times already and they said that I need to waite until the 19th before it starts to build....

When i originaly post here my system was already approved. And if i go online with my dispatch # it shows "shipped" (he told me that i was to receive it wednesday this week). So i guess i won with Dell. Lucky me! within 48h i will have my "little" gift from Dell

Well my replacement laptop finally showed up as being shipped. They replace my broken M1710 with a brand new M1710 same specs.

Damn I should have talked to an indian.....
