Damn I should have talked to an indian.....
If you really want an M1730 you can say that after you got it back you are still having problems and you would like a system exchange. If you really push and dont mind wasting time you should be able to get a M1730.

Thanks for thenifo, I might just do that. I actual put the system up for sale in our section already. We'll see I guess!
you could probably ask for the 1730 by saying yours doesnt work, but......that seems like pushing it just a bit. if the 1730 is given from the get go, of course snag it. but lying about a system just to get something better is a little over the top. just my .02$

I though the 8800's are on backorder.

You do realise that everyone is going to hate you for going from an I9300 to a loaded m1730. Well, everyone except those who have m1730s. As for those pushing... Keep pushing, from what I've noticed, Dell reps are often number-based... so to them, 8700 > 7950. However the enlightened know that the first # = generation, the SECOND # usually correlates to the performance levels. If you're being screwed around, show them hard numbers... nVidia used to have them, but they seem to be MIA the last time I checked.

It doesn't necessarily hurt to find a big database such as GPUreview.com (a compendium of video cards and everything) and show them the comparisons of the card you received compared to what you have. If they see hard data, it becomes much harder for them to attempt to disprove you.

Believe me its worth it!! from a 6800 vanilla to dual 8800s. Man its ludicrous...even the processor...

I bask in my luckyness...

Nobody here is as stupid as you think we are, its a very cute story and nothing more.

There have been maybe ONE report of someone actually receiving them, and it wasn't you.

Wow coax. i guess your on the side of frustration to post a comment like that. I have nothing to prove here. Just posting my "cute story". But if you want pics, sure why not, I have a cybershot at my job. But man ...grow up.
No not in frustration, but its pretty transparent.

I highly doubt with dozens of people trying to get one, that you with a replacement for an E1705 were able to get one in three days.

I could care less, but it will be interesting to see if you did end up with one, I hope so, and if so congrats, but I doubt it.
yeah seems far fetched to have a regular India rep not only replace your E1705 with a pretty well loaded M1730 and then get it in 3 days. I had and inside connection if you will and it still took almost 2 weeks to get mine. I have also had three exchange orders for the 8800M GTX SLI, one 1/29 to be canceled and reordered on 1/31 and then again on 2/6. It was supposed to go out today but didnt so I find it really hard to believe that you got yours already.
Yeah, I would like to see screenshots also. Don't really need a camera for screenshots on the Dell page if you want to post one that's in your account. I've received my order # for the M1530 but I'm still waiting for it to be shipped.
It could be that he recived it allready, there is a second person in notebookreview who ordered it on the 8th and its shipping tomorrow... so i believe him

Maybe in the states, for Europe there is one guy who ordered on the 31st jan and got it yesterday.... 12k @2.8ghz and 14k @ 3.4ghz, no OC for the card yet and with the default 167.blah drivers...

where do you mod on here? never seen you 'round before.
"Sorry I dont mod on Shabbat"

If he doesn't see your question by tomorrow at sunset, you won't get an answer until sunday at least.
I will answer this, solely because it is the context of the past few posts.

If you leave me nice messages after shabbat starts, you'll find a response saturday night to sunday morning (Ie: sunset of friday to sunset of saturday). Once about 8pm on saturday hits, that's when i'll pop back up. Now that that's been answered, let's go back to the topic of the OP, a "Shabbat wondrance" post can be made in Off-Topic, and we'll be happy to help you there. And now, back to our regularly scheduled postings.

-Kind regards, and thanks for wondering.

Jason
