Crysis Issues :/ m9700

I just installed crysis, tried playing it at 800X600 all setting low no AA, I'm getting about 25 FPS max... with and without sli. Split frame rendering crashes my computer when i try to start crysis up with it, this is with 167.04 laptopvideo2Go and alienware official drivers. the latest laptopvideo2go drivers screw up the terrain (no trees mountains buildings etc, cant see myself) so yeah. :/? btw all my other games work fine and show an improvement when using sli? Obviously I doubt many people are having this *issue*, any tips?

Which graphics card drivers are you using? I don't believe AW has updated their drivers for Crysis, and thus performance suffers. You can use hacked drivers available at laptopvideo2go.com A number of members here run them on their AW's.

I've tried the alienware drivers, 169.04 169.09, 165.01, 167.43 laptopvideo2go. Basically The performance is the same but for the 169.09 half the textures arent there like no buildings mountains trees just the ground. the 165.01 is strange. streamed videos on the internet and such slow down or flicker. as for the rest the performance is what i said above. I install them by uninstalling the previous drivers *listed as Nvidia drivers under add/remove programs in control panel* then clicking on setup in the driver folder, is there some kind of program i need to use to fully clean out the drivers? i think i heard of something but i havent been able to find anything

I dont know if an M9700 has the horsepower to play that hog of a game especially at 1900x1200.

I don't expect it to be able to play crysis at 1920x1200, I just think it should be playing at more than 15-20 fps on average with the lowest possible settings, I literally can't play through the game because its so bad, and this computer meets the requirements to play the game so I think somethings wrong

sounds like that you have a driver that is still there that is corrupting ur new drivers if you havent used drive cleaner to get rid of the old drivers then that is probably ur problem....

i prefer uninstalling drivers from device mngr

Will installingdriver fix many problems?
I currently, and have a problem with my TV Tuner.
make sure that your FKC is running in applications unber control alt delete because if its not then ur tv tuner wont work...trying to reinstall ur tv tuner drivers may fix ur problem but i would have done that a long time ago its not going to fix itself...

Okay, yeah the driver cleaner i used fixed the problems with the new drivers but I guess crysis just isn't the game to play on this computer. On a side note does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade from vista to xp or dualboot XP and vista on this computer, it came pre loaded with vista, and I've tried before but when I ran the XP install it couldnt locate anything to install to after I partitioned an area for it, said something like could not locate any harddrives...

crysis will run alot better on XP than vista... if you have vista on ur computer its harder to install XP over it...you can also do a dualboot if you want but ive never done it with vista on their first...

Speaking out against Crysis, I think the programmers did a lousy job on the game, with all the issues I hear about. My m5750 plays Half Life 2 at 1900x1200 full blast and I can't imagine Crysis looks multiple times better and brings all these really powerful machines down the the FPS I read about.

If they did a good job designing & programming you guys should have excellent frame rates and I should be able to play it at a decent rate.
