GPU replacement??

I have this laptop and the GPU seems to have died. I see guides for replacing nearly everything else, but not this. Is it possible to fix a broken graphics card, or do I need to buy a whole new laptop?

You really should have started your own thread for this issue. GPUs in laptops are normally integrated within the motherboard and are near impossible to replace. You would have to replace the motherboard which are not very cheap

I have a Gateway P6831 FX and need to upgrade the CPU. Ive been looking at cpus and I saw the T9900 on Intel's website and I was wondering if A)the cpu is compatible with my laptop and B)if it would be worth it or should I go with something like the T9300. StarCraft 2 seems to be very cpu intensive

Thanks for your help.

Most games you will find need a fair hefty Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) or vid chip...check this help forum http://forum.notebookreview.com/hard...u-upgrade.html..check the poster about 5 down (hydra) check his signature....he has a 6831FX and has upgraded it to a T9300
