Video card upgrade for m1730

If I bought m1730 with geforce 8800m can I upgrade it later to get the geforce 9800m? If yes, do I buy the video card and install it myself or I buy the card and dell technician will come to my house and install it for me?

Yes later on when the card comes you you can upgrade it.

It is not THAT difficult to do, but if you don't feel comfortable dell will send someone out to do it for you.

kinda of getting ahead of things here.

if Dell releases a new laptop based with the 98xx GPU it's more likely it will not be the same foot print as the 88xx series GPU.

If they release it as part of the options on a M1730 then sure.

it will take at least 6-9 months after the 98xx series GPUS are released before the mobile versions come out.

i totally doubt that the 98xx will work on the m1730.

i think that the 8700 and the 8800 are the only gfx cards for this gen.

They will prolly come up with 8900, 8950 which may be OC'ed.

Why would dell change formfactor just to put 9800m in it? The m1730 came out in september, m1730 has to be at least 2 years for dell to get new formfactor.
