Hello, I have a Sager 8790 and it died when I got off my bed and touched the mouse and a spark went from my hand into the mouse. I bought a new motherboard off eBay from a guy who said the motherboard was fine, just the inverter went out since he could see text on the screen. So I popped in my screen from my system and all I get is a black screen with no back light. The num lock and fans work and the Lights work. I tried to plug in my LCD TV through the DVI and got nothing. I also tried using the DVI to VGA adapter and still nothing. I'm not sure if the computer needs to be in windows in order to make the DVI out to switch on. When I contacted the guy who I bought the motherboard on he said to try to replace the screen. Anybody got any Ideas or a Inverter/controller for the LCD?
