Alright guys. I was number 32 on the pre-buy list. I definately got many good years out of the machine but I finally moved to a desktop PC as this beast sat on my desk for way way too long.
The good: Machine is still ALIVE. No running issues at all. P4 3.2HT, 60gig 7200 RPM drive, 2g of Ram, TV Tuner. I used it daily for 4+ years. Machine is rock solid stable. NO dead pixels, and it has the better 16" 1280x1024 LCD screen. Gorgeous picture on this LCD.
The bad: LCD Bezel is broken and the area under the hands has the typical wear. I used stickers to cover it up, but unfortunately way too late to be proactive doing it. Keyboard shows massive wear too.
Bottom Line: This would be a great deal for someone with a clean 8890 chassis with hardware failure and swap in my parts to your machine.
I will not part the machine. I'm looking for $400 plus shipping, which is a great deal for anyone who wants a working 8890 to rebuild a GREAT machine.
