VAIO S4XP Noisy fan - replacement help needed

I have a Sony VAIO S4XP laptop which has a VERY noisy fan.

Does anyone know how to open up the unit and replace it? and where to get a replacement unit from ?

best thing is to invest some $ for a good service manual

finding replacement fan will be a trick, tune up ur windows and some cleaning up would help calming down the fan noise

There doesnt appear to be a manual in the list for a S4XP. Any other ideas?
Do you have any resources for tuning windows?

I have the same problem with a colleagues laptop, its also a Sony VAIO VGN-S4XP. Did you manage to fix this??

If your fan has only recently gotten loud you may have a build up of dust on it. Most people don't realize how serious a problem dust can be. A 1 mm layer of dust on a CPU fan can reduce its efficency by 50%.
