I know this may not be the best forum out there to ask this question, but I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people out there and maybe someone has an idea.
I am a hardware guy, I know software but not programming and not well enough to solve this issue.
I just took over a local computer repair shop in los Angeles California.
This place is a DISASTER zone, it makes very good money but the system of logging clients in ad taking notes is impossible.
Lets say a client walks in the door, we write their information on an invoice sheet that has all the fields to tell people what work we did! Its just not right.
I have a network already here, I would like some software that enables me to log in peoples name and computer and address and number, and then print them a receipt for the comptuer they left us. Later on I should be able to go in quickbooks and make them an invoice, but does anyone have an idea of software that can log in computers (or anything for that matter) as well as keeping track over the network on a few computers of that status of a computer, and the clients information??
Someone recomended file maker pro to me (downloading it now) does that sound right? If not what should I use!
I appreciate the advice!
