I haven't noticed any significant hard drive noise, no. I don't hardly hear it really.

Thank you for the great review you shared with us. How is the Dell XPS 1530 compared with Lenovo T61? I am hesitating on which model to buy. I was told Dell laptop's temperature is high, is it true?

well it gets warm at some times depending on what you're doing because it is pretty thin, and the palmrest is metal, so you get the heat from the graphics card dispersing into the palmrest. never gets too hot to work with though. at the moment I'm having mine on all the time using it as passthrough wireless to my desktop in my new apartment until I get my cable internet hooked up, so I have it resting on a cooling pad, which helps quite a bit

I don't know how that would compare to the Lenovo, I haven't used or seen that particular model.

will this laptop be able to play games like World in Conflict and Total war, no problems? also great review and good video.
