Yes, I actually have 3 setup in my room. We get a lot of hurricanes here in Florida and I remember my neighborhood blacking out with the exception of my room. Just think of the movie "Live Free or Die Hard" I was Warlock the only one with the lights still on. They last about 1.5-2 hrs on battery and after that I'm screwed.

You always have a cool setup CompuJoe.

BTW, how do you like the new G15 keyboard and G9 mouse?

Thanks man I really appreciate that. I really do work hard for this stuff and just wanted people to know that. As far as the G15 ver2 and G9 goes they both took some time to get used to. If you used the G15 ver1 and G5/G7 then they have a different feel to them. The G15 ver2 and G9 have a smaller feel (closer to the surface kinda feel) but you will get use to it either way. And if you ask which I prefer the older versions or newer versions then that would be hard to answer. I feel like the old and new perform the same way its just the ergonomics that changed.

I'm a sucker for pretty lights. You've got an awesome and clean setup. My desk is a poor mess compared to yours.

btw, why do you need 3 UPS's? I can understand one for your desktop pc, but wouldn't the battery in your laptop act as a natural UPS? ...I guess I'm ultimately wondering what other cool stuff you've got squirreld away connected to the other UPS's.

Well I have one hooked up to my entertainment center.

One attached to my computer setup.

The other one is a backup if any of the two fails and I occasionally use it for my alarm clocks (annoying to set the time over and over again after a black out).

I love the XPS desktop. I saw one in the flesh not too long ago. Very impressive to say the least.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Really nice.

Note: Condolences on the 360 HD. I bought into it too,...and may just wait for the HD fire sales that will eventually occur...

Yeah when I found out about that I was pretty bummed but I only own 3 hddvds so I did not invest much into it. I am planning to keep it because 1) It will not be worth it to sell the unit 2) Im with you with the firesales and might just pick up a few more to hold me off until I start buying bluray discs.

R.I.P = HD-Dvd

I own the exact same desk, except I removed the pointless keyboard drawer since it only gets in the way.

for your home theater set up you should actually use a power conditioner, ups' dont make much of a difference since they dont have the power necessay to truly make a difference plus you have a panasnoic plasma and plasmas take a lot of power so the ups dosn't really help all that much, a panamax power conditioner would give you a longer life span of the tv and make all your components run a lot faster and not at as high a temps. Plus it will add about three years of life to your plasma, and watch out for burnin. trust me man i'm a magnola hometheater sales man and they make all the difference i promise go into any bestbuy and ask they will tell you even the geeksquad would agree not that any of use thier services. but yeah trust me it will help
