Inking Problems with HP TX1420US Convertible Tablet

I just got an HP TX1420US convertible tablet pc. It is a nice little notebook but in tablet mode the inking is not great. How many who have this PC have had trouble getting it to calibrate correctly?

more like one must constantly "calibrate" it in between mode, much more of a touch than a pen device (my sis said so) - have u looked into different pen "tip/head" ?

cheers ...

What do you mean by "in between mode"?

I used a stor bought three in one pend and my stylus from my Treo700w and it is about the same experience.

I see; you are saying you have to calibrate it repeatedly each time you enter tablet mode after using it as a typical notebook right? I'm guessing by your cryptic replies that you must be inking as you post.

Anyway, it doesn't matter how often or when I calibrate -- inking is never really accurate. It is worse after I first go back into tablet mode but it after calibrating it fresh it still is off by a little bit. It is usable but annoying.

I have updated all drivers from HP. I downloaded the drivers before from MS Update and one of them totally destroyed things so that it was not even usable so I am no longer using MS Update on this computer.

my little sis has the t1200series and the top 2-3cm and along the frame r of NO use - we call it "dead margin".

we look further, u r not the only one that have the issue with "inking", hope some more tablet users can give some more input

cheers ...
