OMG!! Dell M1730, What should I do?

Thread Starter
I received my M1730 today, and all of the paperwork states I have the 8800 GTX 2X512mb cards (my order screen, my invoice, etc), yet when I powered it up, looked at the BIOS, it has the 8700's in it. Now I don't know what to do. I want the machine but don't want to have to wait another 2 weeks to get it. Any advice??

I also ordered a Crimson Red cover and it came with the Smoke Gray cover, don't know how this happened either, but not as big a deal as the video cards!!

lol Dell is screwing up left and right it seems.

I got 2 laptops without Ageia PhysX card.

Call them up, and tell them to send a tech out with 8800s, and correct color LCD. Check if Physx Card is installed

i agree with the above post!!! i dont know what is happening to dell over the past year but they have been messing up orders right and left.. i dont know who's in charge of there "quality control" but they need to get a handle on this asap!!! i would be pissed if that was my laptop!!! i purchased my m1730 from dells outlet for 2300.00 dollars and i have to say it was in perfect condition. my spec sheet says my lcd was a sharp but in the device manager it says lg.. i.d says lpl0004.. no complaints here as i love lg screens the best and this screen is perfect so i guess this mistake here worked out to my advantage.. as for the origional post, man that sucks they screwed up your order so bad and i would be on the phone to dell raising cain!!!

Dell assholes! Check the PSYX card stated above.

Dell really must be screwing up if Laptops are shipping without PhysX. Everything I'm seeing on their consumer site right now shows the PhysX card as standard equipment that you can neither add on or delete.

Meh, just call em up and they'll get you fixed up right away. Their Q/A must suck, but at least their customer service is good as long as you're polite or politely angry =P.

Any updates OP?

Well from previous posts seems Dell has a shortage of 8800's. Maybe they figured you wouldn't notice, but still get what you par for, have the tech come and swap the parts like other have said.
