N3530 Screen Out

Hello,

The screen on my N3530 has gone out for the second time. The first time it occurred, I took it to an authorized service center where they replaced the inverter I believe it is called. This seemed to fix the problem until the screen went out two weeks later. I returned it to the service center and they have had it for several weeks now. I have had the computer for about a year and a half so there is no warranty and the computer has been problem free.

Has anyone else experienced this type of failure and what was the resolution.

inverter failure does happen, regardless of brands, models and year of service

The story is now that the LCD needs to be replaced. The shop tech indicated that the motherboard appears to be supplying the necessary power and data to the LCD so they appear to have ruled that out. Now they are trying to find a source for an LCD other than Fujitsu so that the cost will be less than the $500 Fujitsu wants. However, I do want the computer to be as it was before the problem ocurred so not sure if a off brand will be suitable.

lcds4less offers good prices for lcd replacement, take a look at their site along with how to remove and replace a lcd. hope that u get ur comp back soon
