D900t Bios 1.00.12

Thread Starter
I found this surfing for an updated D900T BIOS...

http://www.eurocom.com/support/drive...D900t_bios.htm

I know it's kinda old, but iirc, the m7700 bios only went to 1.00.06

Just wondering if anyone has tried this, and wonder what -

If is isn't broke, don't fix it. ;-) I wouldn't expect anything new from the update, but if someone has already tried it and it adds a nice feature, sure. But I probably wouldn't bother.

I have the BIOS install on one of my systems, its a direct from Clevo BIOS. Tne Alienware logo is not on it, the Pentium 4 logo is. The BIOS add support for a couple of different DVD/RW drives and also adds a fan controler feature in the BIOS as well

Always check with the company releasing those bios. Clevo has been known to do "custom" bios for specific companies and those bios will only work for those machines. Proprietary customs can turn your machine into a functional brick so do the research.

Since this was done for the "T" which is no long being made, I would guess to say that this was the last bios for the "Eurocom" only. They have done similar customs for Sager as well so be warned.

Hummmm, its working fine on my machine with no problems at all. And I have an Alienware M7700.

Key words in link are "Clevo" and "allbios". Clevo made it for all "T"s. When "Eurocom" has a link under their support and you don't see it in the others thats when you do the research of that version. Don't assume that it will work on other resellers version of that computer.

That is exactly what is going around with the m17 bios fixes now. AW has a no tweaking cpu in theirs and Sager doesn't. People who download the Sager into the AW void warranty. You do it at your own risk and expense.

Well a "Clevo D900T" is a "Clevo D900T" weither its an "Alienware", a "Sager", a "Voodo", a "Pro-Star", or a "Eurocom". They are all Clevo D900T's and being they are all out of warranty now, does it really matter????????
No it doesnt matter in this case, but for those reading this do the research no matter what. Proprietary adjustments meant for a certain resellers configuration may not work or even screw up someone elses configuration. Remember all bios are not the same for all Clevo distributors even if its the same model. That is why AW states that any DL of other than their releases will void warranties.

It doesnt matter if its a D900T or any other make. Any dl not approved by AW you do so at your own risk thats all.

Bla, Bla,Bla ok smart guy. Where do you get the Alienware 1.00.08 BIOS??????

Thats the Keyboard controler BIOS, not the actual system BIOS. Alienware did release a version 1.0.08 BIOS for the m7700.

It is the System Bios Update that updates the Keyboard Controller...

keyboard woes...

hi all...
i've recently changed the MOBO in my area51 m7700 (d9t)
and all went smoothly.. the original MOBO had the dreaded hard drive prolems in the bios(ie dosen't see one at all)..
everything is working fine except the keyboard??
i'm having to use a usb wireless keyboard as the one on the lappy dosnt work at all.. the bios has no mention of the keyboard???
the mobo is ver6 and is running the 1.00.12 bios.
the keyboard is model no. MP-03756GB-4304L

the keyboard was working on the old mobo so i'm stumped???? and the old board was a ver6 as well...
any ideas???
