Enable the edge light on your 15x

just found this little app that enables the edge lighting around the lcd screen. i'm not sure why alienware disabled it i actually
like it more than any of the other lights. this app will allow you to control it in the alienFX control center.

I think AW is now shipping them with the edge light enabled.

well i may not have a penryn but i got edge lights now.

So you ordered your Alienware before the Penryns came out?

yes. mine is a T7800 merom core. all that is available now are the 9xxx series penryns.

Good thing mine was still in phase 4. I called and changed it to the 45nm extreme and they said it would delay the process 3 days. I said not a prob!! 45nm f-ing rocks, plus I got the smart bay battery so hope i can squeeze 41/2 hours out of it!!

I thought i heard the newer lappys are not going to have the light rail on the screen is this true???

That is what AW is saying for europe... also the side lights dont work due to a problem in the software.
