Ibm T61??

Thread Starter
I just brought a new Thinkpad T61. Still sealed in the box. I dont know if it can handle gaming, surfing on the internet, checking emails. I have a Thinkpad R40 and its pretty good but very slow on playing games. I have a freind that sells the T61 very very very cheap and they are in the box sealed.

Depends on the video ram. T-series are a step up from the trusty R40s. I don't play anything graphic intensive on mine because of the video card.

You should be all set.

So how much did you pay for it? Your "very cheap" comment has me wondering.

I am very interested in purchasing the T61 in the near future. If it isn't a bother, can you keep us updated about any good or bad experiences with your new laptop? I, and I'm sure a few others, would like to hear about your experiences, especially any failures that you may encounter.

There is a guy on ebay, actually two or three of them which sell Thinkpads "cheap" but be warned they are not sealed by Lenovo, they are under-spec machines which are upgraded or which he installs used parts in. Just be warned, buy from Lenovo. They have problems but atleast you have something to fall back on... they usually make good if you can convince them they are wrong :P
