Gateway MX7118 BIOS

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and was hoping somone here might know where I could find a BIOS update for my Gateway MX7118.

I'e searched around and cannot find any info on this sytems mainboard other than chipset and current BIOS version. Not enough info to find a correct BIOS.

I am mainly looking to squeeze a little more performance out of this system if at all possible.

If Gateway doesn't offer one on it's driver web site ,changes are, you won't be able to find one, the reason WHY? is simple, it's called..... Proprietary OEM Hardwear, even if you DO find who made the motherboard in your Gateway MX7118 notebook, and if you do come across a BIOS update from the manufacture, that BIOS may NOT work on a OEM Proprietary Gateway notebook, so, the bottom line is, if Gateway doesn't have one, then you may NOT find one at all.............Good Luck!

it's an INTEL motherboard...check the Intel site
