Amilo 1437 "black-screen" problem

Hello everyone.I've tried the "search"option but cannot find anything relative. I have an Amilo 1437 which is running on Windows Xp Home. This problem occurred 2 days ago and until now (3 years) I haven't had any problems.Upon browsing different websites ,my screen went totally black but my notebook was working.I could see the drive icon reading and everything was ok but the screen went blank. I thought it was some kind of virus or spyware so I ran what I had and nothing. It doesn't do it all the time.So I formatted it.The thing is that I could not find my "driver" disk so I downloaded the latest drivers. That's when everything got scr*** up.I used "Drive magician" and installed the latest drivers.Mind you it doesn't have this problem in safe mode.I had a hard time trying to find the VGA drivers,as I had that yellow question mark in my device panel. I went to ATI's page and downloaded the x700 drivers (that's what I could find) and upon installing them I was able to browse pages but just out of nowhere the screen went black! My screen is set to 1280x800,what I had all these years. The drivers I downloaded where from here:
Code:
http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/download/ShowDescription.asp?SoftwareGUID=623B642D-DC61-4BB9-A49B-05204EB25891&OSID=665F4A20-6E31-43C3-82C2-D98CE773007C&Status=True&Component=ATI%20Mobility%20Radeon%20X700
Is it a screen resolution bug? If someone could kindly point me in a solution I would be very grateful! Thank you all! Chris

try with an external monitor and see if the problem persists. If it is ok then a possibility that ur lcd inverter is gone - cheap and easy to replace

cheers ...

O.K.

Tried that and still happens.Well I think it's not a screen problem. The screen goes black when I use the "copy-paste" option.I open a txt and when I try to copy-paste something it just goes black!

This is so odd and frustrating.....
