and overclock it from 667 to 800 mhz (C2Ds like having ram speed at a multiple of the FSB)

Gonna install Vista Business when I get the laptop too.

Then in the far future, when the warranty is gone, repaint it white.

Nice System!

Congratulations on your order!!!

Better Check, but when I purchased they told me if I replace the ram I will void the warranty (you could always keep it and if anything went wrong put it back) let alone overclocking from factory...Good Luck
post #4 of 141
if u put ur RAM in it only voids ur warranty on the RAM not the whole computer...
Paint It Black...erm dammit I meant White!

just better hope nothing happens to your ram in the future lol, how does aw's warranty work? if you change any part of it you void that parts warranty?
Changing or adding RAM isn't a big deal. If something goes bad with the new RAM, take it out, and put the other RAM back in ...

If you break something when installing new RAM, then that is your issue.

I plan on voiding the warranty sooner rather than later... and the hd screen doesn't matter much on a 15.4" LCD.

It's not free unless you have fantastic credit. If you have average credit, you'll pay a lot more for your comp.
