Mouse Suggestions

Thread Starter
Waiting for new MBP's to take the plunge into the Mac world, looking for thoughts on a good multi-button trackball mouse that is compatible with OS X. I do a little bit of gaming (WoW), and would like to get something that would replace the keyboard as the main control...any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks...

When you say trackball, you mean the kind where the mouse doesn't move, but instead you roll a ball across an optical sensor?

If that is right, then I have no idea

If it is the other kind of mouse, then I highly, highly recommend the Logitech VX Revolution.

I will second the Logitech VX option for a mouse. Trackballs are nice to use with CAD design and programs of this degree, but I wont recommend it for gaming.

Currently there are several still in production or just recently discontinued so you eill have some luck in finding them but they are getting harder to find.

Kensington makes the "Expert Mouse" and just relased the "SlimBlade"
Logitech makes the "Cordless Trackman Optical"
Microsoft made some but now they look to be selling on amazon for about 180 dollars plus.

there are some other trackballs out there and the above manufacturers make some other trackballs but those are the main multi buttons ones(ie. more than three buttons)
