8700 Temps

hey guys, me again! lol. i was wondering what the temps you guys are getting on your 8700 sli setups running games like crysis and such. i'm running crysis for example at 1280x800 or something, cant remember off hand, everything set to medium. game for about and hour and a half and my temps only showed to reach around 62C. now this is using i8kfangui and offsetting the gpu temp by 8. i'm not using the program to handle the cooling, just monitor the temps. i guess i was just expecting the temps to be higher, not that its bad, lol, dont get me wrong! i guess maybe the cooling and bios on this laptop just work better than on a 1705. seems that i hit 70C almost daily on that thing depending on the game i was running. thanks ahead of time guys!

My temps stock are usually around 72-74 with RivaTuner.

I think i8k may report the temperatures wrong for the 8 series. You have to change the GPU sensor or something of the like. Ask around, I think Achilles talked about it once.

ok, i changed the sensor to 4 and the offset to 7. shows now around 62-65 idle. gpuz however shows the old temp when i run it and click on the sensor tab. i'm going to download ntune and see what it shows.

well i installed ntune and the temp shows what the temp on i8 shows with the gpu monitor at 2 and the 8 degree offset. if i change to what achilles listed in his post, the temps are off of what ntune shows. which temps should i be going off? i would assume the ntune ones?

match it to ntune/ATItool's.

Wierd though, mine matches fine between ATItool, Rivtatuner, ntune.

It must be the driver you are using. I'm using 17x series from laptopvid2go.

ok thanks. yeah i bet that driver may be the culprit. i wish nvidia would produce some good ones for sli, and vista.

I'm using 174.20 sli and vista, working great.
