Initial impressions before going to training (only got through the tutorial and 3/4 through first mission)
Very GoW like controls except no hugging of cover, no leap buttons but you have a slide to get into cover, fluid with back to back shooting (or over under shooting) sniping is actually fun, shooting on the other hand not so much, I keep on COD4ing it by trying to shoot enemies through stuff. Once u get the hang of shooting its a lot easier (bodies are rag doll and I mean RAG DOLL)
This game
IS co-op. Setting your partner behind cover and then flanking is easy and fun, until you grab aggro cause ur running a SAW

You can switch weaps between you and ur partner which is very nice but takes some getting use to. Right bumper is for team stuff (co-op snipe, switch weap) left bumper is for u (grenades, side arm, primary and special) easy to move the char around and a GRAW type box with a 3rd person view of your partner is very well done, you can see whos shooting him, who hes shooting and where you need to shoot.
Weapon moding is very satisfying (I instantly got the SOCOM Mk 23 sidearm with an extended barrel and high cap mag

) only you cant un-mod a weap (dont know if you can sell your weaps but money is easily attainable in the game) Lots of weapons choices from side arms, to specials and primary, big array of mask/helmets (no custmized paint schemes or tags yet) but limited supply of armor at the moment. Your armor can range from light (for flanking) to heavy (for rushing) which is very nice, easy to set up a heavy with a gattling to take aggro.
Kill counter and money gained is on screen for each mission. I like this especially cause when your playing with a friend you can compete on who will get the most kills. I dont know how money is distributed during co-op but I will find out when I have someone over to play.
All in all as an initial impression and not much play in the game yet, not as dark as GoW, does some things a hell of a lot better than most shooters (commanding your partner, viewable area, weapons and armor) and does some not so good things (may take a little longer to learn controls but by no means a steep learning curve, no sprint button (that I can find) some minor loading screens when switching between the weap/armor mod screens)
Give me a day or two to play longer and my review will be better. I definitly like it though
