I am.

I was in a fortunate position to play a media build bout 3-4 months ago.
I thought the grfx looked rich and tasty, others disagreed so its jmho but I liked em. The controls felt decent too.

I was all set to grab it, but it WAS delayed for a reason, media backlash on later builds was soooo bad EA bumped it by 4 months. They prolly had more time with an even more mature build than what I got to play. And let me tell you, although the portion of the game I got to play felt pretty polished, the rest of the game was SUPPPPPER buggy. Its initial submissions to the bodies that certify games prior to RTM sent it back failed certification with a list of bugs that make Santas naughty list look like a haiku. And alot of the Bugs were MAJOR game crashers. Lets hope the extra fiscal quarter allowed for that extra polish!!!! cause I like the premise of the game being designed from the ground up for teamwork required coop- unlike most all other coop games were a skilled player can go psycho-rambo-solo if they choose.

so yeah Ill still be getting a copy and just hope EA fixed em bugs

not me. this game is gonna be trash

"As it stands, Army of Two is a juvenile swear-fest with clumsy controls, a story apparently penned by a seven year old who hates them ay-rabs, laughable level design that tosses you into a cut-scene every thirty seconds, sub Perfect Dark Zero graphics and the two least likable characters in gaming history. We’d rather play as a Bubsy the Bobcat/Raiden from Metal Gear Solid tag-team than these two douchebags."

I didnt know u put so much faith in online reviewers. Talk about 'Juvenile' - Army of Poo -

I have bought plenty of lemons (Chromehounds, Battle Engine Aquila etc) but I expect to atleast get a demo download off of live, we will see how it turns out.

That is what reviews are for. So you don't waste your money on crap.

Duke its those exact media reviews from late October and early November that caused them to bump. The game has a good premise, lets hope an extra fiscal quarter of production and fine tuning allowed EA to turn this one into a better game.

But there are so many online reviewers that its hard to get a clear conscience picture of what people are saying. I know that if the title of a review was 'Army of Poo' I wouldn't put to much weight behind the review or reviewer. But do as u wish, I can always send u my copy after I get it. Then you wouldnt have to buy it and you could make your own review about it

Not when they all reach a general consensus.

Ya definitly true, but I also like to make my own judgments. Thats why I like the Live downloads so much, I can DL a demo of the game ( ala Frontline: Fuels of War which the mutli is ok, the single leaves alot to be desired) and base some of my assumptions on the demo, but also knowing that the demo is just that and not a finished product.

I am serious, when I get the game if u want I can send it to you and you can play and write your own review on it.

I'm gonna rent it. Why? Customization looks cool, and there aren't enough coop games on the market.

X-Play just gave it a Strong 4 out of 5 stars.
Good enough for me!

Initial impressions before going to training (only got through the tutorial and 3/4 through first mission)

Very GoW like controls except no hugging of cover, no leap buttons but you have a slide to get into cover, fluid with back to back shooting (or over under shooting) sniping is actually fun, shooting on the other hand not so much, I keep on COD4ing it by trying to shoot enemies through stuff. Once u get the hang of shooting its a lot easier (bodies are rag doll and I mean RAG DOLL)

This game IS co-op. Setting your partner behind cover and then flanking is easy and fun, until you grab aggro cause ur running a SAW You can switch weaps between you and ur partner which is very nice but takes some getting use to. Right bumper is for team stuff (co-op snipe, switch weap) left bumper is for u (grenades, side arm, primary and special) easy to move the char around and a GRAW type box with a 3rd person view of your partner is very well done, you can see whos shooting him, who hes shooting and where you need to shoot.

Weapon moding is very satisfying (I instantly got the SOCOM Mk 23 sidearm with an extended barrel and high cap mag ) only you cant un-mod a weap (dont know if you can sell your weaps but money is easily attainable in the game) Lots of weapons choices from side arms, to specials and primary, big array of mask/helmets (no custmized paint schemes or tags yet) but limited supply of armor at the moment. Your armor can range from light (for flanking) to heavy (for rushing) which is very nice, easy to set up a heavy with a gattling to take aggro.

Kill counter and money gained is on screen for each mission. I like this especially cause when your playing with a friend you can compete on who will get the most kills. I dont know how money is distributed during co-op but I will find out when I have someone over to play.

All in all as an initial impression and not much play in the game yet, not as dark as GoW, does some things a hell of a lot better than most shooters (commanding your partner, viewable area, weapons and armor) and does some not so good things (may take a little longer to learn controls but by no means a steep learning curve, no sprint button (that I can find) some minor loading screens when switching between the weap/armor mod screens)

Give me a day or two to play longer and my review will be better. I definitly like it though
