Rental or Purchase?
I bought it, its fun to be sure, Id stay a strong or extended rental, or buy if u haz de cash, but its not on the level of rsv or cod4, and with rsv2 coming soon if u had to choose its a no brainer.

Dont get me wrong it has flaws but is a solid and fun game, its just not at the level as those just mentioned. Which I have to say is a real bump for RSV as its been out sooo long and its still hoplding up so well, cant wait to see how much they pushed up the bar in rsv2 and see if it can contend for attention from FPS cod4 players.

See I liked RSV but not as much as you. I am going to rent it and see what I get.

But Aof2 isnt meant to be a COD4 or and RSV2, it's meant as a co-op shooter that does it very well. It doesnt have the realisim that COD4 has but thats not why you buy it. You buy it cause it has a different spin on the whole shooter in a hostile modern world. Pimping guns, outlandish armor, smacking your partner just for the hell of it, cussing and swearing, bad@sses whole go around shooting F@KKers in the FACE.

If you have the cash, get it (I dont know how mutliplayer is only heard about 2v2 stuff which is limited) I can see myself running through the campaign multiple times with buddies just shooting and flanking, trying for the most kills.

But I will reserve final judgement until after I beat it, nothing like a great bunch of action and then a flop at the end, we will see.

Going to hold off until you beat it. Or Steve does a review.

I hate to tell you this but RSV is multi coop shooter, it came out a long time ago, and is a far superior game to Ao2.

I dont know if cod4 has coop vs AI, but 2v2 is still better in cod4.

*Sigh* you are right RSV is better (never played it) but you seriously cant compare them (RSV is Rainbow Six Vegas right)
RSV is a different type of game. I personaly do not like it nearly as much as COD4 or BF2 for that matter.
Um RSV is a 3PS(as opposed to a FPS), aside from striving to be more simulation than Ao2's sorta arcady feel, I dont know how they dont get any more alike! WTF????

They are both 3PS shooters featuring coop play. They both feature good guys fighting (usually brown and middle eastern) bad guys, the both have cool weapon and uniform upgrade systems. You shoot people and they die. WTF are you talking about them not being the same kind of game?????? Its not like comparing Street Fighter to Madden Football ??????

Yes Ao2 has some unique features of its own, aggro meter, coop tagteam moves, but what game doesnt, 90% of the game is a "Coop 3PS" which RSV is also and is a better game top to bottom!

Make our own opinions?? Maybe not, that would be to scary, we need someone who is 'in' the industry to tell us what we like and what we wont like.
Wait, I have to come up with things I like on my own. OMG WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!!!!!!!????????????
Who said anything about opinions? WTF

Its a FACT they are both 3PS Coop Shooters, come again on how these are so vastly different games that comparisons dont hold up????

I disagree with the last one.

Finished it tonight; its a shorter game, but still fun. Online needs the bugs worked out of it, played the entire game with a buddy co-op on Live (he lives in Idaho) which was a blast.

Darq your better off renting it and making your own judgement on it, I know some people will love it and other wont.
