to anyone thats had their laptop replaced by dell---

did they typically give you exactly the same laptop, or are there ever variations in the hardware?
Dell finally decided to replace my lappy today, after trying to fix the LED LCD four times.

I was one of the first purchasers of the 1330, and they no longer seem to sell the chip (7500) or the hard drive (32gig SSD) for my lappy... anyone have any situations similar to this? do the manage to dig the old hardware out of the bins, or do they varry the hardware at all?

I've had mine done through complete-care (after losing a fight with gravity), and since the model I had (Inspiron 8200) wasn't available anymore, they replaced it with an Inspiron 9300 with equivalent (or better, mostly better) specs.

Their policy is generally to replace it with the same or better parts. I'm not sure if they use brand new or refurbished (mine was brand new), but everything received carries the same length of the original system.

Hope this helps somewhat.

It does.
My lappy is only about four or five months old so, even with the new chips, I expect I'll get exactly the same setup... would be nice to get a 64gig ssd thouh... this 32gig ssd is feeling kinda cramped
