Hey, I've had an alienware for about a year and ahalf now. Suddenly just the other day my screen suddenly stopped working. After some trouble shooting with a friend who has the same laptop as i do, we realized that the screen is in working order. At first we beleived it could be one of 2 things, motherboard faliure and a sensor problem, however the symptoms of my computer dont follow that as a problem with the mother board. The screen gets power (the eyes light up and the battery and charging, aswell as the network status light show. So I beleive the problem might be in the sensor that dectects if the screen is open or closed..could anyone help me out..we know its not the graphics drivers or any other hardware, just nothing is displayed on my screen not even a black empty display. Does anyone know where or how this sensor functions?
