M1530 - Vista 64bit drivers?

I'm expecting my m1530 tomorrow and since the first thing i'm gonna be doing is loading it with 4gb of ram i'm wondering about 64bit vista.

Dells support site only lists downloads for 32bit vista.... Can I expect any hardware not to work with vista 64?

I guess all I'd need drivers for are the sound card, touch pad, ethernet, intel N card and fingerprint reader.

chipset drivers - Included in windows
bus drivers - Included in windows
storage controller - Included in windows
grafix - Direct from nvidia
webcam - Yes
cardreader - Included in windows
media keys - Yes

The only two of the ones you listed i'll need are pretty much what i was asking about in the OP.

Thanks for a totally useless reply. Why are you post in a dell forum if you own an HP?

I got the laptop a few moments ago, I'm just going to go for it and install vista 64.

For anyone else in the same boat.

I used the drivers from dell for 32bit successfully for everything except the following:

Video - http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
Fingerprint scanner and alps driver in this thread - http://forum.notebookreview.com/show...=158277&page=1

I haven't bothered installing drivers for the sound card as it seems to be working.

Haven't ****ed with the bluetooth extensively yet. Windows has built in drivers but i dont think it supports all profiles.

I was thinking about doing this with my 1530 as well. As long as I have a system capable of running a 64bit OS I don't see any point of not taking advantage of it.

Is it running smoothly? And are there any compatibility issues with 32bit applications? Or is there full backward compatibility?
