What´s the issue with SLI for Clevo when Dell already has it running in M1730?

hehe nice 1 DieFool, whats it like compared to the 1710 i bet you got alot to mess with and mod to get that beast running properly tweaked out and stable. If ya got it to hand send us ya ebay number thing for yuor 1710 sale and a linky for ware you got yuor new one, i know the sagaer 9250 i think is clevel d600 or somthing so i wanna seee yuors , you already seen mine lol.

this is the notebook I got.

they are late with the SLI because they are perfecting it.

Dell is different SLI their cards are more like the Gx2 cards that have 2 GPU's on 1 board.

the Clevos use more True SLI with 2 seperate cards and a ribon cable like in a Desktop PC. since it has a Desktop Chipset etc.

also I feel more comfortable with them since if your dell GPU has problems in 1 card on the board. you have to pay like 1500 bux for a new dual card.

if i have a prob with one of my single cards. i can just replace each card that has probs.

or run with single card if I choose

besides people are gettings over 10k 3dmark 06 with the 8800m gtx in my rig.

Reason why they get 10000 with the single 8800m GTX is only because of the Quad Core CPU, it would be better if they ran 3D Mark 05 that isn´t as CPU intensive as 3D Mark 06. But we all know 3D Mark doesn´t mean a jack except for E-Peen. A single 8800m GTX doesn´t perform as good as two 8800m GTX in SLI.

True Dell has their own solution to SLI, which one is better is up to decide, they both seem to work well, whether you use 2xGPU´s on one PCB or a ribbon cable between two single cards.

thats what you would think but the other clevo's are getting close to 10k as well and they have t7700, with no OC.

so go figure.

The 3d Mark 06 score of 10000+ is either on the Q6600 or the Q6700 at least the benches I have seen. So you say that a T7700 has as high score as the Quadr Core? Well I will put up some Epeen scores here when I get mine on thursday, maybe need a day or two to configure it properly and get rid of all bloatware first. How about some comparison in gaming benchmarks instead, say Crysis for instance between a Clevo single 8800m GTX and Dell´s 8800m GTX SLI.

I said that people with the t7700 have been getting 9000+ yes with the 8800.

i didn't say that it was better or anything like that.

jeeze, i was just saying stuff that I have read.

the people with the single 8800's with the mobile processors are getting 9000+ you can read over at the clevo forum. there is dozens of them.

and yes the quad core gets like 10500. but it seems past a certian point the graphics card is whats showing the score no?

read for yourself I just want to enjoy my laptop. i will post information in this thread.

if you don't like it. who cares.

Yeah I will E-Peen a little when I get mine Nah no harm intended diefool. I would love to see some benchmarks when you get your SLI setup also I would like to know how hot or cool your laptop runs with that Quad Core in it.

Definitely but you are getting the most wicked one At least with the Quad Core. Hmm I might as well sell my desktop system, I think I can beat that now if SLI works at least.

yup, i hope they fix the sli drivers soon, then I will get SLI>

but you know atleast if SLI is shit and doesn't work good cuz you know that SLI is funky like that. and sometimes has it's problems and doesn't work on all games.

I'm sure we can just disable SLI and use 1 8800m gtx. atleast the cards are wicked as a stand-aone card.

better than 1 8700 anyways out of dual 8700s

Well, SLI is Officially going to be Released now on the 24th for Clevo d901c.

So I will grab it for my notebook next month.
