Looking for a 13.3" laptop...Need help

Well it's been a long time since I'v been here

But I'm here now

I want to get a little laptop...13.3" is a nice size, but I'm open to other suggestions.

I need it to be able to handle my multitasking

Cool so it wont burn my lap

Needs to be able to handle a game here and there...Moslty soccer games like pro evolution soccer. Nothing super duper But had to have a dedicated GPU.

Laptop has to look nice and be light.

Price...I would say maybe $1300-1400...Not more then $1500 for sure.

The laptop i'm leaning towards the most now is a Dell XPS M1330. I like the way it looks, it's packed with a whole bunch of everything, especially the nice GPU. It looks nice and with their discounts it's a great price.

Anything coming out soon that i should maybe wait for? Any suggestions?

Thanks

id say youre right on the money, get the nice warranty from dell and youre set

asus has a few models but most are pricy, same with most other 13 inch models with a video card

Standard Display with 2.0 Megapixel Webcam [Included in Price]

Slim and Light LED Display with VGA Webcam [add $150 or $5/month1]

Should the Slim and Light LED screen be something i get?

I've heard that people are having issues with the Dell LED screens...But others say it's bright and beautiful. Snoop around the Dell forums here, there is frequent mention of the LED screens.

Other than that, I say go for the 1330. Normally I would post another option or two, but I've had the pleasure of using the 1330 multiple times, and they are very speedy, solid computers.

@soulsaver: LED screens are LCDs. LED refers to the type of backlight, not the screen itself. You're thinking Light Bright.

//edit: ^----- I guess I'm the ones who liked the LED screen.

the dell is very well priced. and for the reviews, nice design and good quality overall. it's a winner.

It may be just me, but I would never compromise on the screen. Not always you feel the power of the CPU/GPU, but you'll always be using your (irreplaceable) eyes looking at it. There is nothing like a good screen (I saw a 1330/led, it's nice).

What about buying...Are there any updates scheduled or price drops on the 1330?

Thanks

Get one from the outlet. www.dell.com/outlet. I got mine there. They have a 21 day return policy.

A LED based display is a LCD display,(it just has LED lights in back of the LCD).

I am seriously considering the purchase of a Mac Book Air ($300 over you budget but I think it would be worth it if you want the ultimate in portability). My other consideration is a Dell XPS M1330.

I currently have a Dell 600m with a broken WXGA+ screen. I have not yet purchased a replacement screen. I do plan to get one from e-bay, just a little Leary of getting ripped off. The size of this laptop isn't to bad, however I really would like something that I could carry in a "Zippered Pad holder" (e.g., Mac Book Air).
